Shafiq Ur Rehman which is exactly placed in same era and place; that too is an account of his stay there but for un known reason Shafiq Ur Rehman has opted for serious style of narration which made that work quiet dull; had he opted for his typical humorous way this could have been a master piece. All time best book in the history of urdu humor, Col Muhammad khan u gave us a classicmay his soul rest in peace. And that is another reason I like it so much.

A very interesting book, some how I have ignored this book for some un known reasons but after reading it I found out what I was missing at. Its always enjoyable and inspiring to read about Pakistan army.

I as a layman feels that Col Khan is influenced by the writings of Patras and Shoukat Thanvi which is quiet evident in his writing style specially his "self -humiliation" which is very amusing.
